The charts display continuously window sizes from 500 to 5000 words, with a growth of 100 words from one window to the next. The evaluated variables are the most freqent character-3grams. The step size was lowered to 250 words, thus generating a close network of measuring points. Each chart gives the window size, the step size, the type of variable, in brackets the number of variables and the culling value 70, which means that variables were taken into account that are present in 70% of all texts.(= N).
In all windows the smallest stylistic difference between the reference texts and the Parnassus Plays was determined on the basis of character 3-grams. Nashe wrote part 3 (1601), but The Pilgrimage to Parnassus and The Return from Parnassus were written by John Marston.
